Cutthroat Croquet!

Another main attraction at Bath Fest is the annual Bath Cut-Throat Croquet Tournament  held on the picturesque lawn behind the Bonner House. Players clad in traditional white dress compete in this cut-throat style event and spectators are welcome to bring a lawn chair and enjoy!

Players may register in advance by calling 252-940-6326 or on site between 9:00 and 10:00 am the day of the event. (However, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.) The Practice Course will open at 9:00 am and play will begin at 9:30. There will be two different flights - The Cutthroat flight will accomodate aggressive pirate-y players and the less ravenous players can participate in the Rapscallion Flight.  Each flight will offer booty for the top four finalists!  Registration fees are $35 for players and $15 for spectators, both of which include food and beverages. Standard white croquet dress is preferred but not required.

Each year, proceeds from the croquet tournament are used to provide the Dorothy “Dot” and John Tankard Scholarship at Beaufort County Community College and to further the preservation of the Bath Historic Site. Both causes, to which, the Tankards were so dedicated.
